Dr. Seavey has been with
the CTR since June, 2002. He is responsible for the patients
physical and neurological exam. As the physician he will
also talk with the caregiver about the patients
history and problems not detectable in the exam room.
ADC doctors, including Dr. Seavey, do not take the
place of a patients personal physician. Patients
continue to see their personal physicians for prescriptions
and basic health care.
In his spare time Dr. Seavey enjoys biking and hiking,
travel, Jazz and Latin music. He enjoys volunteering at
local student run health clinics, ClinicaTepati and the
Shifa Clinic, and belongs to Physicians for Social Responsibility.
He has participated in research aimed at establishing
risk factors for the development of arthritis, evaluating
methods to increase exercise in the elderly, and at our
center is involved in studies of cognitive function in
Latinos.
I enjoy helping people and their families optimize
their health and participation in life both through my
direct interactions with them and by contributing to the
research going on here at the center. I feel lucky to
be a part of the Centers truly caring staff.
