WEB HIGHLIGHTS

www.timeslips.org: The “Time Slips” program examines the benefits of creative storytelling to help open communication with and understanding of people with Alzheimer’s disease. Out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and based on the 1998 research project of director Anne Basting, artists, students, caregivers, and people with dementia design interactive, intergenerational storytelling workshops (as opposed to painting, for example) for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

Out of this project grew plays, amazing photographs, exhibits, books and book chapters. Training in these story-telling techniques are available. It is a valuable and uplifting project that must be visited to truly enjoy. www.timeslips.org
