While the Alzheimer's Disease Center receives
some funding from the National Institute on Aging and California
Department of Health services, private donations remain
critical if we are to improve quality of life for patients
and search for answers to Alzheimer's disease. Indeed, private
support through charitable gifts has become more significant
than ever to the financing of high-level research at the
University of California. We recognize and extend our gratitude
to the people who have contributed their time, talents and
money to the fight against Alzheimer's disease encourage
you to join them.
Donations will enable us to develop innovative
research approaches to the study of Alzheimer's disease
and related dementias and bring new treatment methods from
the laboratory to the clinic. Your contribution can help
us continue to provide the highest level of patient care,
attract researchers of international reputation whose vital
research may lead to a cure and train the finest physicians
of tomorrow. You can make a difference in the health and
well-being of a loved one and provide the possibility of
a longer, happier life for others in your community.
The UC Davis Office of Health Sciences Advancement
is eager to respond to you inquiries about how you can support
the mission of the Alzheimer's Disease Center. We offer
many arrangements to reach both philanthropic and financial
goals, including charitable trusts and gift annuities, memorial
gifts and bequests. Donations come in all sizes and shapes.
Experience has shown that contributions of any size, when
put into an endowment, can grow into funds that leave a
perpetual legacy. For more information about how you can
