The
Alzheimers Disease Center at UC Davis is one
of 29 Federally Funded Centers across the country.
One goal of the Center is to support young faculty
interested in Alzheimers research and encourage
established Faculty to consider broadening their interests
to include Alzheimers research. The Alzheimers
Disease Center offers multiple opportunities and a
substantial array of resources and support for research
funding through collaboration. These resources include
neuropathology tissue, serum and DNA samples, neuropsychological
data, and imaging data on hundreds of research subjects.
In addition, the Center offers two yearly $20,000
pilot grants for junior faculty members or senior
faculty members wishing to start research in a new
area.
Please join us for a Research Showcase of the Alzheimers
Disease Center on Tuesday, January 20 from 3:30-5:00
pm in the ACSU room of the Main Hospital. Refreshments
will be provided.
